驚聞中學英文老師吳先生小菊仙逝兩載補誄

瘟疫肆虐之年

空濛清明之月

徒呼奈何之日

樵夫驚聞噩耗，遲至兩年，兀自傷懷，無可名狀，以手機敲文為祭，爰格爰誠，匪簠匪筥，中英文曰：

天蒼蒼兮，玉虬長吟西北望

地茫茫兮，瑤象雨佇泉壤傷

水澹澹兮，宜水黃水霧煙長

燈曳曳兮，茝蘭已逝無菊香

夢攀紀念碑山兮，望學堂月明影搖

撫經以授惇惇兮，頷首兩靨以生笑

喚吾起立造句兮，勉吾閱英文報條

東籬難叩二載兮，顑頷無形蓼花杳

黃土原上茂林兮，南門路上青階遙

操場覆水泥兮，難尋草木之生機

黃丘化塵土兮，唯殘垣頹牆痕跡

櫛比之屋舍兮，橫塞向來之路歧

曩喧鬧教室兮，竟銹欄鐵鎖荒遺

欷歔悵望，泣涕徬徨

猿啼兮霧壙，泣鬼兮煙塍

白楊兮嗚咽，青楓兮鳳吟

嗚呼哀哉

尚饗！

Jade dragon flew far northwest howling

Ivory carriage stuck to the mud raining

Tranquil YiHuang river saw hazy moisture

Flickering light fade away the fragrance of chrysanthemum. 

Climbed the Monument Hill many times in my dream

watching the downhill classrooms bright under the moon

You solved my puzzle smiling with dimples

You encouraged  me to dip into English newspaper in that room

Chrysanthemum vanished in East Yard

Withered flowers far away disappeared 

There was a hill with the woods in schoolyard

There were cyan stone steps in South Gate alley

Now cement covered playground without any vitality

while rows of apartments blocked the shortcut alley

Hilarious classroom building forever sealed by lock rusty

Watching with sigh

wandering with tears

Apes whistling in foggy graves

Ghosts sobbing across dusty banks

Poplar village heard whimpering

Maple town saw phoenix tweeting

Gosh Gosh Gosh
